![]() On the other hand, it seems like character models have improved, so they went from terrible to below-average, I guess they're more consistent with the environment now, which went from good to bad. The new "style" looks more generic, flat and cartoonish. Also, Caith never looked especially great, but was good enough and had a certain style, at least. Yeah, they "leveraged" UE4, to look like UE3, or worse, by cutting features. Improved level art: We swept through every level and overhauled the lighting and texturing of our environments. Updated game engine: We leveraged the latest and greatest features of Unreal Engine 4 to provide new features and dramatically improved performance. However, as someone fortunate enough to have a high spec machine, taking away the graphical fidelity which was in your Kickstarter promotional videos and the first release just isn't acceptable. I realise that some players have lower spec graphic cards and will benefit from the changes, I would be happy if there were options to turn off dynamic lighting for those players. ![]() I get that some of it is about making the environments lighter, but even if you accept that this was a good idea (and I'm not convinced - this isn't really a Fortnite style bright and airy game is it?), losing the dynamic lighting sucks and outright looks inferior. ![]() I am deeply disappointed to see the severely downgraded screenshots. I decided to wait and experience it for the first time in the Director's Cut version, figuring that it would be superior in all ways. I haven't actually properly played the game yet (outside of a couple of hours messing around with it), I was busy last year and by the time I got to thinking about it this year the Director's Cut was in the works. Add me to the list of massively disappointed kickstarters (Premier Collector's Edition).
